Great Patrons

Opera Grand Rapids is the longest running professional opera company in Michigan and serves as West and Mid-Michigan's resident opera production company.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Robert Lyall, the Company brings to life three productions each year on the DeVos Performance Hall stage. Each Opera Grand Rapids production is a unique experience that combines premier national voices with a regional chorus, and the Grand Rapids Symphony.

A unique cultural resource, Opera Grand Rapids has built a national reputation for high artistic standards, and the ability to stage productions on par with the quality of much larger companies. Each year Opera Grand Rapids' productions are enjoyed by thousands of students throughout our educational programs and ticket buyers in more than 48 counties throughput lower and mid Michigan.

Less than 40% of the cost of producing an opera is covered by ticket sales. To bring top quality, professional opera to life in West Michigan, Opera Grand Rapids relies on the generosity and support of individuals like you to make a tax-deductible contribution.
